Eligibility

Students who have completed 8 years of formal education are eligible to apply for Level 3, which is equivalent to Pre-Matriculation.

Progression

Candidates can then progress to Level 4 and 5 to achieve full Intermediate/A-Levels/12 Years of Education equivalency recognized by the Inter Board Coordination Commission (IBCC).

The Level 3 qualification lays the groundwork for a solid business education. Upon successful completion of the program, students will be able to:


a) Identify the external forces that impact the business world and understand business concepts related to international commerce.
b) Explain the various functions involved in running a business, including management, marketing, accounting, finance, human resources, information technology, ownership, and production.

Program Information:

GGC Pre-University Foundation Program is divided into three levels (Level 3Level 4Level 5) covering academic progression from Grade IX/O-Levels to Intermediate/A Levels.

Introduction to Business:

After successfully completing the course, the student will be able to:
1. Understand how various departments of a business operate both independently yet work together to add to a company’s profitability.
2. Read and analyze financial statements.
3. Learn how a for-profit business can have a social mission.
4. Understand the importance of operational efficiency and customer service.
5. Gain knowledge of how to market and promote a company’s product or service.

Marketing Fundamentals:

After successfully completing the course, the student will be able to:
1. Understand the difference between traditional and contemporary marketing.
2. View marketing as a coordinated and integrated effort of all the departments and functions of the organization.
3. Develop a thorough understanding of the skill required to gain a competitive edge in today’s constantly changing environment.
4. Appreciate the environment- external or internal to the organization which will result in enhancing Product or service quality.

Foundation Accounting:

After successfully completing the course, the student will be able to:
1. Develop the students’ understanding of economic activities and what assumptions and measurement techniques are used to convert the economic activities into accounting information which is relevant for making economic decisions. (UNDERSTAND)
2. Describe the accounting rules for recording such information. (RECORD)
3. Explain the financial statements presentation and disclosure requirements for such information. (PRESENT)
4. Explain the methods of analyzing such information. (ANALYSE)

Foundation Mathematics:

After successfully completing the course, the student will be able to:
1. Strengthen the Concepts and Foundation of Mathematics.
2. Transform the Business Scenario into Mathematical Problems.
3. Determine suitable Solution by Using the Appropriate Technique of Mathematics.
4. Use the Scientific Calculator more Scientifically and Smartly.

Foundation Computing + Project:

After successfully completing the course, the student will be able to:
1. Describe how data is captured, organized, and managed using a data management system and design a simple database using data modeling techniques.
2. Discuss the strategic considerations in information system development and their impacts on the organization.
3. Design effective user interfaces and explain the importance of internal controls for information systems.
4. Explain how various information systems are designed to support the decision-making process for business managers.

Academic English and Study Skills:

After successfully completing the course, the student will be able to:
1. Speak and write fluent and correct English.
2. Increase confidence of students in their academic and professional interactions in the English language.
3. Improve written and verbal expression.
4. Enhance the competence in handling academic text and professional documents in English.

Important Note:
1. No payment will be accepted at any institute.
2. All payments are to be made in person at the bank or online payment methods via GGC Website.
3. All invoices must be cleared on time, students with outstanding dues will not be allowed to attend classes.
4. Fee structure is subject to change before beginning of the academic year.
5. Fee are non-refundable and non-transferable.
6. Fee paid on monthly basis will have additional charge of 10% on the invoice amount.
7. Fee above 200,000PKR is subjected to 5% Advance Tax u/s 236 or Income Tax Ordinance.
